If you’re having trouble joining a league, follow the steps below. Most issues can be resolved in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Basic Checks
Update the app: Make sure you’re using the latest version of Kickbase from the App Store or Google Play.
Check your connection: Switch between WiFi and mobile data. A weak or restricted connection can interrupt the join process.
Restart the app: Close the app completely, then reopen it and try again.
Step 2: VPN or Ad Blockers (for Android users)
If you’re using a VPN or an ad blocker, turn it off and try again.
You can check this in your phone’s Settings and disable any active VPN or ad blocker.
Important: If you click an invite link and the app opens but you don’t land in the invited league, a VPN or ad blocker is usually the reason.
Ster 3: Please check your device settings: If user has his "Private DNS" setting set to "Specified DNS" he will not be able to see the invite popups. To resolve this he would need to set it to "Off"
Quick Workaround
If the issue continues, you can use this temporary solution:
Set the league to public in the league settings. Share the league name with your friends so they can join manually. Once everyone is in, switch the league back to private.
In most cases, updating the app and disabling VPNs or ad blockers resolves the issue.
League Limit Reached
Depending on your subscription, there is a limit to how many leagues you can join. If you’ve reached that limit, you’ll need to leave a league before joining a new one.
