How can a league admin unlock points for a manager with a negative balance?
In private leagues, admins can manually unlock gameweek points for a manager who started the gameweek with a negative balance. This feature allows leagues to handle accidental budget mistakes if everyone agrees on it. For public leagues, please contact us at support-us@kickbase.com.
Because this action affects the fairness of the competition, it should always be discussed and agreed upon within the league beforehand.
How to unlock gameweek points
Open your league in the Kickbase app.
Tap the league icon in the top left corner.
Scroll down and tap Edit League Settings.
Scroll to the Manager List.
Find the manager with the negative balance.
Tap the three dots next to their name.
Select Unlock Gameweek Points.
Important things to know
This option is only available in private leagues.
The admin can only unlock the ongoing gameweek. For previous gameweeks, please contact our Support Team.
The unlock must be done before the final gameweek calculation, which usually takes place around 6 PM EST.
Once the points are unlocked, the action cannot be reversed. For that reason, it is recommended that the entire league agrees on using this option before it is applied.
